The Volvo 740 / 940 Fuel Pump Hanger is delivered with two internal SAE fuel hoses (ID8 and ID10), allowing you to select the hose that best matches your chosen fuel pump. High-quality fuel hoses and connectors ensure reliable operation, even when used with demanding fuels such as ethanol (E85).

The fuel pump hanger is designed to support popular high-pressure aftermarket fuel pumps such as Walbro GST450 and GST520, Deatschwerks DW300 and DW400, Bosch BR540, and many more. With the two included internal fuel hoses, no additional hose kit is required when running a single aftermarket fuel pump setup.
Can the fuel pump hanger fit two internal fuel pumps?
The fuel pump hanger kit is primarily designed for use with a single aftermarket fuel pump. To support future upgrades or custom dual-pump solutions, the top lid is equipped with an additional 1/4 BSPP port (not used in a single-pump setup) along with an extra electrical connector, allowing a second fuel pump to be added.
A dual in-tank fuel pump configuration requires an additional single fuel pump kit (sold separately) and a custom solution for mounting the second pump to the hanger. For easiest fitment, standard 39 mm fuel pumps such as Deatschwerks DW300 / DW420 or Walbro GSS340 are recommended, as larger-diameter pumps cannot pass through the fuel tank opening in a dual-pump setup. For applications with higher fuel flow demands, we recommend using an external surge tank in combination with the fuel pump hanger, allowing multiple fuel pumps to be mounted externally from the stock fuel tank.
The Volvo 740 and Volvo 940 fuel pump hanger enables easy conversion to AN fuel lines for fuel system upgrades.
The fuel pump hanger is designed for use with aftermarket AN fuel lines and is not compatible with factory fuel lines. The top lid features ORB-threaded ports, offering a wide range of fitting options. The outlet port is an oversized AN-10 ORB, the return port is AN-8 ORB, and the vent port is AN-6 ORB. An AN-6 male fitting is included for the vent port and is intended for use with our upgrade AN-6 fuel tank vent kit (available here). We do not offer or recommend using the fuel pump hanger with OEM fuel lines, as they are too small to handle the increased fuel flow.

The fuel pump hanger integrates the OEM fuel level sender, which clips directly onto the top lid without any modification. Oversized electrical connectors for both the fuel level sender and fuel pump are integrated into the top lid, enabling a clean, straightforward installation with hassle-free wiring.
The OEM fuel level sender is required for the fuel pump hanger kit, as it reuses the factory fuel pump location. The kit also reuses the stock fuel filler hose, making this a truly hassle-free upgrade of the fuel system.
