The Nuke Performance Coolant Expansion Tank with oversized Vortex chamber, for high-performance and motorsports applications.

The Nuke Performance Coolant Expansion Tank, 0.8L Performance, is developed for high-performance engines where coolant control, deaeration, and durability are critical.

Enhanced Deaeration thanks to the oversized Vortex chamber
 Type-A radiator cap compatibility
 0.8L capacity aluminum dual-chamber design
AN-6 ORB inlet and dual AN-10 ORB outlet ports
 Leak-free high-pressure operation with O-ring sealed body

Manufactured from lightweight billet aluminum and designed with an oversized Vortex chamber, this performance expansion tank is engineered to be an integrated part of the pressurized cooling system. Designed to withstand extreme heat and pressure while delivering stable coolant circulation under demanding motorsports conditions.

The oversized Vortex Chamber ensures enhanced de-aeration, the core of the design of the Performance coolant tank from Nuke Performance.
At the core of the design is the oversized Vortex chamber. Incoming hot coolant is directed tangentially into the chamber through the AN-6 ORB inlet, initiating rotational flow. The increased internal volume enhances air separation efficiency, stabilizes coolant circulation, and improves system performance compared to conventional designs.

Dual-chamber internal layout with oversized Vortex chamber
Designed to be a part of the pressurized cooling system

The tank features a dual-chamber internal layout with controlled cross-flow passages, both top and bottom. This design supports stable coolant movement, controlled air separation, and consistent pressure management within the pressurized system. Engineered to be an integrated part of the pressurized cooling system, not an overflow tank.

AN-6 ORB inlet port and dual AN-10 ORB outlet ports enable a wide range of fitting options with our selection of fittings and adapters.
An AN-6 ORB port located in the upper section serves as the inlet for incoming hot coolant. Its positioning routes coolant directly into the Vortex chamber for optimized rotational flow and air separation. We offer a wide range of AN-6 ORB fittings (available here) and adapters to suit your installation.

AN-6 ORB inlet directs coolant into the Vortex chamber
6mm barb adapter for the radiator cap overflow port
Main AN-10 ORB outlet positioned beneath the Vortex chamber

Two AN-10 ORB outlets are integrated at the bottom of the tank. The main outlet is positioned directly beneath the Vortex chamber, and the secondary outlet is in the calm section for air bleed or auxiliary return. This configuration ensures stable coolant circulation and effective system deaeration, and is superior to simplified single-chamber coolant tanks with a single outlet port.

Type-A Radiator cap compatibility, increasing system pressure and operating temperatures for high-performance and motorsports applications.
The coolant tank uses a 32mm radiator neck, designed to use standard "mini" Type-A radiator caps. Upgrading to the Nuke Performance expansion tank allows the use of higher-rated Type-A caps (available here), increasing system pressure and operating temperatures for high-performance and motorsport applications.

The stated pressure rating represents the nominal release pressure and operates within a defined tolerance range. The illustration above shows the intended operating range for each Nuke Performance radiator cap.

Cooling system pressure directly affects the coolant boiling point. Always select the lowest pressure cap that provides sufficient boiling margin for your application, as higher pressure increases thermal stability but also places greater stress on system components.

Designed and developed in Sweden, with no compromises in engineering, materials, or performance.
Engineered entirely in-house by Nuke Performance, the Coolant Expansion Tank 0.8L Performance sets a new benchmark for pressurized cooling systems. With its oversized Vortex chamber, optimized internal flow, and billet aluminum construction, it delivers superior de-aeration efficiency and long-term durability, outperforming conventional designs. Developed alongside professional motorsport teams worldwide and validated under real racing conditions, this is not just an upgrade — it redefines what a performance expansion tank should be.

There is no substitute for the quality of Nuke Performance.
